about us
Wellspring may seem an unusual name for a church, but it illustrates what we as a group want to be - a wellspring or fountain of freshness and vitality in a desert without hope.
Jesus recognised people’s thirst for life and said that those who “drank of him” would never be thirsty again. We have been privileged to have a life-giving experience with Jesus Christ and now we look to share this life with others.
We are a group of people from all walks of life and all ages who meet together and have become a bit like an extended family. Our common bond is that our lives have all been impacted by Jesus, so in response we try and live the kind of lives that are pleasing to Him.
our history
Our church started in March of 1993 when a dozen people were sent to birth a new church community in Rhyl. Its purpose then was to be a lively, fun and contemporary expression of church dedicated to sharing the truth of Jesus Christ to this area. Its emphasis continues to be, family - youth clubs, children’s clubs and all age teaching groups playing vital roles.
God enabled us to purchase our current facility in 1996 from the Welsh Presbyterian Church - the oldest place of worship in Rhyl - giving us the potential of a great facility in the heart of residential Rhyl. We have been pleased to have initiated and assisted several inter-church activities and are grateful to God and to all the faithful members for all that has been achieved.
